Environmental Ethics

As human beings, "we have moral community of which we, i.e., 'normal' adult, human beings, are paradigmatic members."  This is a kind of an exemplary manifestation. To me, this claim means that, as human beings, we are all expected to care above the environment because we are all a part of it and also takes care of us (Jamieson, 2008). There is a natural pattern completed by the relationship between man and the environment.

This is a form of exemplary manifestation and the reason the environment should be taken care of. It is through such a moral and ethical course that we achieve a sustainable world. As well, this claim can be used to define the kind of relationships expected among men. It is only through this moral path that a 'genuine' community is defined. Man's life is therefore defined by moral concepts and ethical practices.

From the above explanation, it is notable that there are a number of practical moral implications or real-life consequences that can be derived. For example, man's morality determines his success in the community and with other men. As well, man will be expected to act ethically and morally towards the environment, otherwise the environment will make life bitter of it is not taken care of (Jamieson, 2008). Such consequences can therefore be minimized by making sure we all become moral in our communities since we are paradigmatic members but with exemplary manifestation.

Basically, this claim helps man understand what is required of him to achieve better life and also take care of posterity. Failure to do so will result in diverse impacts (Jamieson, 2008). This claim is a guide explaining to man how he is supposed to associate with the surrounding and by so doing avoid all possible consequences from any form of ignorance.
