The largest contributors to water pollution are waste and animal runoff. A good start to dealing with this predicament would be to educate the farmers on practices that reduce remittance of farm inputs, such as chemical fertilizers and pesticides, into the water sources. They can opt for using organic ways of farming, which involve the use of no pesticides and other chemicals.
