The new denominations which have featured under the social changes include the Church of Christ, the Seventh Day Adventist Church, the Latter Day Saint Movement and the Disciples of Christ. The third awakening focused on the springing up of new denominations, vigorous expansion in the mission work as well as the exploration of the socio- gospel approach of solving social issues.
