My task will involve a discussion of the cultural policies between Australia and the United states. This cultural policy is expected to affect the level and the way for which business will be conducted in the future in these two countries. In carrying out this particular research, the normal form of comparing items will be used as the chosen methodology for which to conduct the research altogether. The assignment will therefore involve itself with the determination of the way through which culture policies of these two distinctive countries will affect the business outcome of the consumers or corporate at large. It should be noted that my future area of academic interest is becoming a business consultant.

Unlike the Australians, the cultural policies in America do not encourage the rightful representation of character standings in the society by using the national flag as an act of cheerfulness. This is because theAmericans perceive this phenomenon as an act of insensitivity as well as inability to comprehend to an individual’s way of character to the formation of the part of a group in achieving a common objective altogether. I believe that this cultural policy will inhibit business developments in Australia than it will affect an organization level of production in the United States (Limner, 2003). It is a known fact that the major goal of any business organization in the globe lies with its ability to make profits while minimizing the level of its production costs. One way for which businesses minimize costs is by having there employees form departments whereby resources are allowed for sharing amongst employees rather being replicated. This feature can only be achieved through teamwork thus the coming together of the different employees with a common course and goal. The level of insensitivity towards teamwork, as depicted by majority of Australians, is an indication that this cultural policy will not favor any business developments altogether.

Historically, the two countries developed differently from each other. While in America was established and developed through the pessimistic dreams which explains the strength found on its grouping identification, each and every individual developed the notion of joining hands and be part of the larger groups since they considered it as a better way of protecting oneself from external atrocities. On the other hand, Australians were developed and nurtured through harsh environmental conditions. There immediate colonialist, the British perceived the country to be unworthy and barren and was therefore used as dumping site for American criminals particularly in Sydney. This phenomenon explains the cultural policies existing between the people of these two countries. Australians were made to fetch for themselves since every criminal was expected to protect themselves from the even harsher Australian environment. This facet led to the individuality aspect amongst Australians while there counterparts in America exercised and nurtured the sense of togetherness (Convictcreations.Com, 2009).

The issue of ethnic labeling is another facet which can be used to differentiate the two countries in terms of its established cultural policies. In America, the issue of ethnic labeling develops through color so that people are labeled as either Chinese or African American, in the course of referring to the t citizens of non-white Americans. In Australia, this phenomenon is rarely practiced as there are never distinctions made between the people of color as the whites practice in America. I think that this phenomenon will act positively with Australian trading organizations since there is no indication of racism in terms of color in Australia like it is in the United States. It will be wise to indicate that the citizens in Australia are enlightened and are non-discriminatory in nature. This aspect is well reflected in Australian organizations whereby multi-culturalism carries the order of the order. However this does not overrule United States from the same ,but then it is wise to indicate that the Australian business community is expected to be very positive about the aspect of culture sensitivity in there organizations at large. The aspect of culture sensitivity is considered to be a recent major development in the business fraternity as it depicts the benefits to be expected by organizations in terms of sales revenue as well as unique skills and abilities from the different culture groups.

Unlike Australia, America is culturally portrayed as a country where humility forms the fundamentals of excellence. There is no doubt that America has achieved far too much within a very short period of time. It has been able to send man to the moon   as well as providing a multi-featured arena for athletes in general.  It is clear to indicate that America pays much tribute to the respective talents and abilities of its citizens. This phenomenon is also depicted by the high standings in the American entertainment industry (Louver, 2004). On the other hand, Australia, as a country, does not pay much tribute to its talents altogether. This facet can affect the economies of these two countries differently. In America, talent as well as exceptional skills as portrayed by a person pays much while Australia is operated by the traditional models of approach whereby people were expected to use there man power in order to become successful altogether. It is therefore wise to indicate that these phenomenon will for instance promote organizations whose dealings are entertainment- based hence an immediate improve on the American economy while, on the other hand, the Australian economy is dependent upon the traditional models of sourcing of resources. In this case, the Australian response towards entertainment and talent at large is portrayed negatively and thus worse for businesses dealing with the trading of entertainment accessories like films and sport shoes companies. It should be noted that these cultural policies will affect my area of interest after graduation. As a business consultant, I perceive this phenomenon to be an immense inhabitance to the growth and establishment ofthe commerce industry.

It is also wise to note the cultural differences which arise in the form of leadership between these two countries.  It is a known fact that politics in America is so much developed thus the high level of civil integrity amongst its citizens. On the other hand, Australia’s form of leadership is portrayed to be traditional in nature, as a business consultant, I believe that this cultural policy is a negative facet towards the growth and development of business empires. It is a known fact that for businesses to thrive and operate at maximum profits then both the external and internal environments is supposed to be steady and stable.   For political stability to take root, then the common citizens are expected to be civilized and positive towards the political environment altogether. For this reason, it will then be easier for any business organization to set there growth prospectus under an American political setting and be successful than it would be when similar growth prospectus is introduced in an Australian business setting. The political structure of any country is portrayed as an external factor which determines either the success or failure of any business organization at large (Australian Politics.Com, 2012).

In conclusion, it is wise to indicate that despite the differences which exist between the cultural policies of the two countries. The diversity and the differences are most of the time channeled to affect and achieve positive results altogether and as a potential business consultant (a profession I will pursue after graduating), it is better to evaluate the facts on the table for effective decision – making process.
