Introduction

Traditions are meant to be learned and shared. It is only through the sharing from generation to generation of particular social values of a particular given country that culture is bred and understood. Culture therefore is very closely tied to traditional aspects of a particular people in terms of beliefs. Of importance to note is the fact that culture in its self actually defines and identifies a particular people in their own uniqueness. It highlights their strengths and gives basis to their actions they choose to take. In trying to understand the impact culture and tradition alike have on a particular country, we will focus on India and China.

Both the above mentioned countries have deeply rooted cultures that date back ages ago. It is very possible for one to imagine the kind of cultural diversity the two countries have. One will almost immediately conclude that there will be some sought of cultural clash. However in as much as their cultures are diverse, it is also important to indicate that they share some of the core values which ensures that some degree of commonality is maintained. This cultural difference is brought about by the fact that the two countries are vast in size and therefore have different ethnic sub-tribes each with different values that define their culture and tradition.

Most of the actions of these nations have been economic and political. For China, it has been involved with political struggles with the United States and according to them, it is a matter of honor which they must protect alongside their nation. Most of Chinas beliefs are extreme and in every one of them, there are positive and negative consequences For example during festivities, it is apparently a must tat one should place a red clothing known as Hong Pi on the front door to attract good tidings. Red is also their favorite color. There have been many dynasties that in the previous years, have ruled China. It is the style of dictator ship evident from these rulers that continue to persist in China, hindering humanitarian reforms.

In the case of India, they have been involved in rapid economic proliferation. It is of importance to note that Buddhism and Hinduism boast of about 2.3 to 2.6 billion follower's world wide. The continued spread of Indian religions has influence the country to advance their culture in other parts of the world by engaging foreign governments especially those in the third world for grants. Growing Indian cultural influence has led the country to embark on a mission of becoming a power to reckon with, by advancing in many fields such as aviation, which had previously been dominated by other super powers. It is however very imperative to mention that the Indian culture and way of life is very much bound with oneness, something that is evident in their religious practices not to mention Yoga.

How the Traditions of China and India Influence the Perspectives of the Citizens

As mentioned earlier, traditions and culture define a nation and identifies it in its own unique way. Thus it is important to realize that whatever the country, the people will most definitely always be proud of their traditions. This is no different for r both China and India. These traditions continue to play a central part in how the citizens relate to one another. Because of the fact that both countries are vast, it is almost impossible not to imagine tat marginalization of any kind does not take place. It is a fact that there are relatively bigger representations in terms of population of particular ethnic groups. I think that traditions allows for each ethnic group to take its rightful place in the society and this pretty much translates to the sharing of natural resources. Thus some citizens share the perspective that they are being sidelined.

How These Perspectives Shape National Policies and Economic Activities and How They Influence Relations with the Global Community

From these perspectives of individual citizens, it appears to be very clear, that ones ethnicity and awareness of traditions play a major role in ensuring economic equality in both countries. The fact that some ethnic groups are poor or rich or large in population also further complicates the factor of equality in creating fair national policies. There is wide spread marginalization because a particular ethnic group feels that they should have political power while another struggles to attain political supremacy. This has led to internal disturbances that have made China appear not to care much about the rights of citizens.

Consequently, the global community has on many occasions condemned Chinese actions towards citizens who are in any way related to these disturbances. They have been accused of brutality and many nations including the United States are just reinstating diplomatic ties with Beijing. India on the other hand is a democratically stable nation which has the favor of most of the global community. Its economic policies have made it grow and seen its GDP rise above even that of America. Because of these, many countries are willing to invest in India where the rule of law is obeyed.

Conclusion

In as much as both countries have diverse cultures and traditions, they all share some kind of commonness that is evident in events such as sports but mostly religious festivities. It is this that shapes and presents them as Indians and Chinese. I think through out the course, I have come to realize that culture in relation to India and China is much respected and contributes highly to the social, political and economic well being of both Nations.
