Daily Life and Roles in the Decade House

My life and roles in the decade house were much promising. As a father in the decade house, it was my moral role to bring fundamental change in house. During the 1870s, a father was the head of the house. Moreover, I carried out proper coordination of the forms and space that made it one of the conspicuous places in Chicago. I ensured that the house satisfied the basic and minimal luxury needs of all my family members, relatives and other friends (Hall 25). For example, I strongly emphasized on domesticity because a father was viewed as the person who could oversee the moral values and character development of the children. The other role that I played actively was to make sure that it presented a new wave of urban design and transformation that heavily relied on historical background and knowledge of the performers (Warner 47).

Actually, the minimal design transformation that I initiated in the 1870s and used in constructing the house showed my typological approach from an analysis of traditional designs evolution and the perspective of growth of primitive architecture. As a result of my contribution in the decade house, it transformed the way my family lived and the general reputation to the community (Warner 58). My roles in the family were founded and nurtured on a strong and moral background to act as a source of authority. This made it easier for me to articulate the functions for the family to progress without tension amongst its members.        

Father’s Sustainable Development Roles

Typically, my daily role in the house began in the morning. First, I ensured that the family members woke up early, and then I had to lead them in a family prayer. This was a way of improving their spiritual well being. After the family completed taking breakfast, I made sure that the children were taken to school and had to enforce discipline on errant kids, who did not want to go to school (Wheeler 14). Once the children went to school, I prepared to meet my guests, listen to them and provide solutions to the problems where applicable. After attending to the guests, I would prepare and go to work. On returning from work, I had to discuss with the children about potential career paths, after which I helped them in making key decisions about who each of them wanted to become. I considered this as part of my role in the house as a father and head of the family. Although my responsibilities were demanding, I had to accomplish them systematically, especially the ones, which were to be done daily (Siegfried 44). My perception about daily roles that I had to play in the house was that of domesticity due to my religious orientation. Therefore, I was deeply involved in the family affairs in a passionate way, not by coercion. The passion guided me to carry out those roles with a clear vision of bringing up a responsible family.    

Moreover, I had to ensure that the environmental appeal of the house was better than other areas, which were surrounded by the gardens (Bentley 18). As a father, I took it as my moral responsibility to make that the members reduce acts of indiscipline in the house so that the members could grow to become responsible people in society (Siegfried 22). In addition, I ensured that the occupants maintained high hygienic standards so that there could be no transmission of infectious diseases, which may cause mayhem in the house. My role and reaction could be clearly differentiated from those between 1960s and 1970s, meaning that during 1870s, I was much focused to achieve a particular end (United States Congress 7).

My roles in the house were significant because I was influenced by society and economic disparities that existed in other houses to foster domestic unity (Forester 41). In 19870s, Houston City has restricted legal procedures governing the setting up of social amenities such as the car parks. I replicated the initiative in the house to ensure that there was order (Forester 42). I learnt that the city used title deeds as a regulatory measure to affect proper land use.  Although late urban designs are peculiar with storey buildings and unique street system, it did not affect my stay and role in the decade house. As a residential area, I ensured that it was hospitable despite being strategically located about a quarter mile from the city center (Smith 8). My daily life in the decade house was full of responsibilities, which were necessary for the family success. I had to make sure that I articulated my roles in an ethical way to serve as an example to the occupants. 

I did not find it difficult to execute my roles as a father while staying in the house because I was in higher social class. I had to exercise my paternal roles and I always ensured that the family members upheld ethical behavior (Morris 102). In addition, I ensured that the house was well served with all basic necessities from the adjacent supermarkets located in the residential areas. Often, I could oversee technicians fix the lighting and drainage system (Wheeler 49). As the head of the home, I was keen in addressing problems such as insecurity, maintenance services and recreation purposes (Davreu 22). Therefore, I found the facilities in the decade house to be very useful and facilitated the acquisition of the family needs, thus helped me in executing the roles.

My life in the decade house took issues of sanitation with total seriousness. I ensured that there was effective and efficient control of internal pollution, proper arrangement to reduce the congestion, good social ecology, better mechanisms of restoring natural resources and positive community interactions with all the visitors. In terms of domesticity, I formulated internal policies and plans, which were adequately implemented by all the occupants under my direction and supervision. In working with the people living in the house and other potential visitors, I applied a collaborative strategic goal oriented programming to execute my roles in the house (Warner 76). My implementation strategy for the programs in the house was through an analyzed decision-making approach, based on the well assessed problem on the ground using any possible means. I was majorly concerned with daily problems, which confronted the people living in the house (Wheeler 50).

I used most parts of my time in the decade house to enhance the social approach of uniting the house members to unearth information and ideas on the problems affecting them and other visitors.  Since the table conferences of Seattle and Portland brought out remarkable achievement, I clearly embraced this system when discussing issues pertaining to my life and that of the entire family. In such discussion sessions, I engaged the family members to deliberate on issues such as hygiene, cooperation, urban aesthetics, and safety. I also applied the visual impression in family discussion; because it was another important aspect used in conducting such meeting and was contributing to urban transformation (Forester 79). My life and role was committed to ensuring safety against natural calamities, which are some of the emerging issues in the sustainable development plans.

The Human Projects and Natural Limits for the Father’s

I always became critical of the area surrounding the decade house since there were several projects initiated by the urban dwellers in the process of transforming the urban setting. Some of these development schemes threatened my security and those of other people. Similarly, others resulted to the degradation of the people’s lifestyle at that time, a situation that I did not want my family members to undergo. For example, I was majorly concerned with the increase in the number of low income earners normally leads to the formation of informal dwellings in the urban centers, which was a major threat to my security (Bentley 29). In this regard, I did whatever I could to prevent the increase of such buildings around my house to ensure that all the occupants were safe.

Other than the settlements, the human activities, such as dumping of wastes, clearing the vegetation for the expansion of settlements and creating space for industries also resulted in to the destruction of the ecosystem around the decade house (Hall 21). This affected the peace of my family, thus increasing my concern about the welfare of all family members. Apparently, my life in the decade house could not be peaceful due to the increase in the destruction of the ecosystem degrades the environment, which, in turns, made it impossible to transform the urban centers (Siegfried 31). In ensuring that the internal and external environments of the house remain safe, I instructed the responsible persons to ensure that any waste, whether plastic or non-plastic, did not end up into the drainage system. The reason for this position was that I understood the consequences of blocking the systems from operating, thus insisted on their maintenance. Indeed, the blockages could lead to spillovers, thereby draining the wastes to the rivers, which could be a health hazard to me and that of my family (Morris 61).
